From now on, I'm gonna use stone cameras. You know, like in The Flintsones when the bird chisled a portrait in a block of granite.

Screw film. Screw digital. I'm going old school with my photography. I'll have longer archival life and higher resolution than anyone.

Like if I want to take a photo of a dog?

LMFAO!
I'm installing Photo-stone 1.0 as we speak. (Can't wait for 1.1)
The download is taking forever, I have to keep changing the filter on my cable modem

Then there will be the separation of stone workers,  The stone lab workers,  the stone wannabes,  the fashion stoners,  the plain stoners,  the porn stoners,  the art(yea right) stoners,  the stoners who are such but do not call themselves such,  the stone polishers,  .......

So who would you rather shoot,  Peebles,  Wilma,  or Fred's wife whom I forgot.  Peebles would of course be of age,  but Wilma and the other one would have stayed the same.

William was right-- I actually saw one of those laser engravers at an expo in Chicago.  It looks pretty cool too.  Its not really for fashion-- its more of a Mother's day (or anniversary) type of thing.  They scan in your photo and it engraves the image on a 12" x 12" slab of marble.  I think I remember the price being around $75-$100.

OH that's just great!

Now I need a stone scanner,and  Photo-Stone!

Oh and how do I open a RAW stone?

Not to mention, where do I get the chisle, and hammer plug-ins?

Bet those will cost a few stones!

Last I heard someone tried inventing a stone-strobe flash and made everyone extinct.

the great thing about stone, is all the RAW formats are compatible with the Lava plug in
plus the great thing about adopting stone, is we can throw our "art" at those who choose to stick with film or digital.  I bet we'd win most of those disagreements

Stone-format just has too many issues...

HARD to work with...
COLD feel to the images...
Too GRAINY...
Too SLOW...
SHARPness issues...

That all said, it's fade and weather resistant and I hear many have taken a LICHEN to it!   smile

Ok, so can we call photographers who use a stone camera Stoners? Or would they be Stenographers? Would models shot with a stone camera be stoned? I'm so confused...
