How about Angel Wings?

I recently shot with a newer model - her first time in studio. Whilst checking out the various dressing rooms she came up with a pair of the damned things.

I hate cliches - but she was begging to shoot in them

so I had to find a way to make an image on the basis of a cliche that would satisfy my need to make it my own....

this image received some pretty quick and positive comment in my port, and the model contacted me to say "See!  It was a good idea!!" LoL

All I can say is, unless it has really been done to death (in the last five minutes), don't worry it something has been done before, a great, well executed photo will always be appreciated as there is nothing really new new under the sun.

Ha, OP has white seamless as a cliche.  So is F/8, 1/125 also trite?

Also, there's not an ironicat.jpg big enough for MM photographers complaining about cliches.  Swords, guns, train tracks, angel/devil wings, overwrought photoshop.

Pictures taken by photographers of models anywhere, any time, wearing anything.

Jeez - quit it.

I think it means zoomed out where you can see that it's a white seamless. Sort of a "behind the scenes" look but it's not actually candid. That's why it says bonus for visible lights.

The latest seems to be silver duct tape over the mouth. Its trending high lately. Seen a lot of it these past few days.

And Damsel in Distress. I know it is a genre but the entire genre is a cliche. How many times can I see a woman tied up with a gag in her mouth and it still be original? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Much of that is due to the No H8 campaign.

Thank you Kevin. I followed the link. The photos I saw here at MM the models did not have the NOH8 on their faces, just the silver duct tape, but I agree it is probably related to the campaign. But then again, like railroad tracks, angel wings, and caution tape, we could have a confirmed cliché photo trend on our hands. :-)

Its funny the photography world doesn't have something like your FEMA. Once a viral cliché photo is identified, it could send out an advisory to photographers, letting them know the degree of infection and to cease that photo immediately.

God bless us all.

The whole world is full of cliche's. Shoot, have fun and don't worry what others say.
