Source Four Jr Zoom
I just bought a Source Four Jr Zoom (not from that site, I have a guy who gets me toys). It is incredible. I got to play with one at a lighting demo, about two years ago I think, and loved its design. Now I have the space to actually use one. The light is so white and clear, it's beautiful. Can't wait to use it with the thunder grey backdrop. I am confused on on thing, when I look at the specs and see it takes a size M gobo. I think that is 66mm. Is that a proprietary size for ETC or is it a standard? I'd like to get some patterns, which seem easy enough to find, but where does one get a size M gobo frame? Jun 29 05 09:30 pm Link check citytheatrical.com they're in your neck of the woods or call PRG in NYC (I have the number at work) they can probably get you the template holder you might want to get a 600 watt wall dimmer so you can adjust the output Jun 30 05 09:36 pm Link I actually went up to Barbizon on 55th Street and got two of the gobo frames and two nice little gobos (the selection was limited and I didn't need "Happy Birthday"). I have not heard of PRG, so I'm curious. I built two 1000w dimmers back in film school because we didn't have any, still have them, real heavy duty. I'm having an electrician come in to get some dedicated outlets for lighting soon.
