Also, looking for sites about military reenactment helps for leads on vintage and vintage-looking military gear. For US military clothes, West Point and Annapolis are gold mines. Brighton vintage shops are horrendously overpriced but check out the excellent army surplus store at Preston Circus (bottom of Old Shoreham Road), as they've got some fantastic stuff and may even be able to source something for you!
