Naw, I copied that post from a cliche post I was reading earlier... looking for ideas. I wanna do a shot of all the cliche's at once. I'm thinking 2 ugly girls on a toliet that is on railroad tracks and they are kissing. Girl one is wearing a gas mask, fairy wings and tape on the nipples, second girl is painted up a like a Joker doll with a watermelon on her head and playing the guitar. And maybe you could have caution tape strung up all over the place and some one mentioned skittles, so lets fill the toilet with skittles. And both girls are making the overly pained screaming face.

I'm willing to try it! But I don't think Skittles float; how about Cheesey Poofs?

A few years back, I saw a photo taken from the ground of the space shuttle, docked with the International Space Station, in orbit against the background of the sun. I thought, "Wow, that's original." I only rarely see a photo that I think is original, but I find the best photos are those that exhibit spontaneity. I've done some cliche stuff, like the model flipping her hair out of the water, but I'm also looking for a special defining quality.

Precisely: Take something that's maybe been done before, but add a new twist or simply do it better! Not dissing creativity, but spontaneity rocks also!

How about a 1985 toyota camry? Better yet. A broken down 1994 Chrysler Town & Country minivan with the paint chipping from the hood. ducttape holding a rear light on. Dog chewed leather seats...And a dent in the front fender where someone backed/slid into it

It would be great to never see a model giving the finger (not cool...not shocking...just lame)....wearing wings (the first 10 times I saw it in the late 80's I thought it was ok)...wearing "caution" tape (caution...unoriginal thinker on set)...the somber/mildly annoyed or deer-in-the-headlights "I really didnt want to do implied,but..." look. everything else is just awesome and /or mind-boggling (snicker-snicker)!

- anything candy themed - selective desaturation - angel wings - flat-out copying others (AHEM, b/w photo in the surf) - the "looking for danger" pose. seriously.

I'm totally doing this shoot!

Oohhhhh, double the fun. I was only thinking about one girl on the tracks, in a school girl outfit with pig tails in her hair. All wrapped in caution tape and christmas lights, gun in one hand, lolypop in the other. Angel wings, joker facepant and skittles all over the track. Boyfriend escort in the background. And gaint intrusive photographers logo across the image. And some selective desaturating. But TWO girls makes it even more interesting. I will shoot this soon, and paste it to the end of one of the cliche threads.

If you do, I want like a 24x36 print of it. oohh, and of course like 30% of all profits because im sure there will be several national and international magazines that will want to publish this extremely original photo.

Well if many of the popular cliche's are shot at once, it will no longer be cliche. It will be... original(ish) sarcasm. Like a cliche thread rolled into one shoot. Now I just have to find the right model(s). I may shoot it this week. If not... then next. Need some dry weather, but at least I live by the tracks... where they are long and strait. Perfect.

I have to agree with the Hot Girls on Cars and Motorcycles. I like it, its hot, but if you've seen one, you've seen them all. If you're gonna do it, Photo-Shop the pic and add some fun graphics to it. Something that will set you apart from the other 1000 people that have the same picture you do.

Covering your boob with your hands... ok we know your insecure about you nipple but we can see 99% of your boobs... lol you either say NO to Nudes or be butt naked... jokes aside there are 10000000 ways to do implied besides covering the nips 5. Pic of you Fighting, having Sex with killing yourself... I like to call them double mint gum photos... you can do alot with these but people just do the same "fighting yourself pics" add to the list... just don't add anyones pics... lol If you want to inspire originality ... then inspire it by sharing your insights into your own originality and what inspired you. Inspire ... uplift ... focus on what is good in another ... find what works in someones portfolio ... it takes their mind off the things that didn't work ... the unoriginal ... and helps them to focus and perfect their excellence ... which will occasionally be original. We can't all be original all the time. When a person becomes proficient at the mundane and routine ... many time this frees them to go beyond. When the mundane becomes automatic ... then the brain can focus on the next level of their art. Some would say that few people are inspired by criticism. I would say that no one is.
