I want to submit to publications, Any advice?
Any will help, I appreciate your time. Jul 07 05 10:24 pm Link Select the publications you would like to submit to, request their Photographer's Guidelines, and follow them. Professional presentation is a MUST. Be wary. Art Directors and Photo Editors of magazines are completely jaded. They see hundreds, if not thousands of images every single day. Always remember your images will be sitting on a light table next to hundreds of other Photographer's images. Make sure they're good before you send, or you will burn your bridge. Good luck - Scott @ Reign Jul 07 05 11:47 pm Link Yeah, what he said. Getting your foot in the door with editors is tough. It took me almost 2 years of submitting photos before I started getting editorial work. Now, if i get an assignment it's all editorial. I don't send in on spec anymore. If you get in with writers it helps as well. They can have their stories submitted with your photos. Jul 08 05 05:07 am Link |
