Tan Redheads
I can tan, but I have to burn first. So you wont see it on me too often, its more of an accident now  I am scared of what three summers of life guarding have done to my skin! If I go out in the sun, I burn, then peel, get the teeniest bit darker (not enough to even warrant a change in foundation shade) then go back to pale after about 4 weeks... I wasn't made for dark skin  I count myself lucky though; my hair and eyebrows are red but my eyelashes are dark  I do know of a girl who had red hair and olive skin - she works at my local shopping centre... So it's definitely possible! They are quite freckly and have very light to light medium skin. On the other hand, italian reds (mostly from nothern italy however)...we tan very very well and deeply and can get quite dark. however, when we are NOT sunning we can be very very VERY PALE. we don't have the freckles of that of the scotts, but we do get freckly. my chest is always been freckly, and in the summer my nose gets freckly if i am in the sun. two samples of me (italian reds) in my natural glory are: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/22207595 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/22574102 and as soon as i retire from this career i will be back in my natural redheaded glory!!! Also, the skin does awful things to one's skin. Most of the freckles I have on my arms and legs are the result of severe sunburns as a young man.. And as my mother, who was also a red-head, said, Unless you want to look like a saddle when you are 40, stay out of the sun. Pale is sexy, baby.
