As you know this is one of the most important contests of the year and the win must be certain beyond doubt. As many of you know we had to restart this contest in order to include 8 omissions caused by a broken image link. Voters in the original thread were contacted and given the opportunity to change their votes in the restart thread. Though we knew this would complicate the vote count process we also knew it was the only way to level the playing field after we discovered the glitch. We have had an unusual amount of technical difficulty with these contests. Part of it is inherent with the forum format and we deal with it. This year we plan to move these contests to Model Mayhem's infrastructure and in doing so we will eliminate many of the difficulties and limitations of the forum format. All this being said, we have completed our vote count for the MM Model of the Year and we have three winners to announce; one new Second Place winner to add to the two winners who have not yet been officially announced, though a test banner that was unintentionally left posted in the wrong place may have appeared to many as an announcement. For this we apologize and regret our oversight. What we will do next is add our additional 2nd Place winner to the currently displayed banner and then make a formal announcement on the front page of this thread later today. We will also fly a banner of all our "MM~of the Year" contest winners on Model Mayhem's main page, to run in rotation for three days. We thank you for so patiently waiting for us to do what we must do to make it right.
