Ok here is the deal, I am very short on cash right now. I started a new job and was out a day for the 4th and out a day due to a server problem. If I cover rent it will mean beans and rice for dinner the next two weeks. So I had a thought but wanted to run it by you guys first.

I am thinking of offering web content on a work for hire basis. It would be very low cost like $50 for a couple of hours and $0.20 a mile if I travel to them. They would keep the copyright and deal with all the paperwork for an adult shoot.

Do you think this is a good way to get out of the money bind?

I don't know. I recently terminated an association with another photographic organization over copyright issues. I never give up my copyright. I'll gladly share it or give someone blanket permission to use images.

As to the food issue, yeah, you gotta do what you gotta do, I understand that (seeing as I am getting less work myself right now). Have you considered disposing of equipment you almost never use? I dropped my backup 10D on eBay and that helped me out of a bind, won't keep me from working and once things turn around I'll probably just get a 2nd 20D to replace it.

I might be stupid and i'm often called it but, I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to ask or what you're talking about.

I have very little equiptment so selling is not an option. As for the copyright, on these I can't see much use in it and I really don't want my name attached. After all there is only so many ways you can shoot porn. BTW I only want to do this a couple of times at most. Don't want to be the next Seymore Butts

if a model likes your work, they would be willing to pay more than that for web content.  Then again, most models who have thier own website have thier own photographers.

Good luck finding a model to pay for web content. It's usually for a mutual trade.

If food is an issue, scrabbled eggs and hotdogs are tastier and not much more expensive than rice.

I think we need to come up with a "Broke Photographer" cookbook. Thank God I bought 20lbs of beans last week. We won't starve but I hate being completely tapped.

I am hoping I can find a couple that are just starting and need content cheap.

I'm not trying to discourage you but I just want to set realistic expectations.

Your chances of finding a paying model is very slim, especially in the web content arena.

If you are strapped for cash and want to make money with photography, you are better off selling your services to an average person. Take pictures of kids on horses and offer them for $20 to the parents. Maybe find a newly engaged couple and do some engagement shots. Get a few of those and you're set.

I don't know the adult biz myself, but rented a studio from a guy once who did adult work at $1.80 per shot he sold. Seems a lousy proposition to me. Maybe to him too, since the last time I called him he had to let go of his studio.

I understand you being realistic, I thank you for the other ideas on where to pick up quick cash. I will be hunting up those opprotunities too.

Was he selling the shots to the model or was he hiring models then selling the photos? If he was doing the second one I think selling to domai.com would have made better money.
