(One of the...) 'Best'
https://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k295/leahln/best.jpg
-This one really stands out.. now it's hard to pick your 'Best' because you have so many great ones, but the overall look of this image and the changes you made were dramatic. (In a good way.) I LOVE the lips especially. smile

'Good!'https://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k295/leahln/good.jpg
-This is a wonderful fix of a fair/so-so shot. I believe I saw this in a forum recently and was stunned by the fix. As for you port, it's definitely good to have something like this in there, even if it's not the typical headshot/skin correction retouch. smile

'Worst'

-Now, don't get me wrong! Not a bad retouch, I just don't think it does all that much for your portfolio.

To sum it up...
I love your portfolio and you do wonderful work! I might switch out that 'worst' photo for something else, but that's just my opinion. tongue

(Also, if you wanna return the favor, I was just about to post a thread like this for me tongue)

Yay thank you for the feedback! ^_^  Heh, yeah I like only doing the super close-ups, but it's hard showing variety that way.  So I try to incorporate a few full-body edits as well even though they aren't as fun.  Hahaha.  And sure, I can return the favor as well.

I like this one the best.  The hair looks great!  I think it's might be borderline manipulation, because it looks so painterly in comparison to the face.  Not a bad thing necessarily, depending on the purpose of the photo. It's still really cool and skillfully done!  It works really well in this one!

This one would be my least favorite.  I think when you go in black and white like this, you need to get more dramatic with the contrast.  Right now, it's kind of dull and flat.

Overall, you're pretty good!  You and I have very different ways of presenting our before and afters.  I think the advantage of showing close ups is it allows you to show of that you can edit without losing the texture and staying as true to the photo as possible.  It's always pretty impressive and a good way to show off.

However, the advantage to displaying the entire result is well, you're showing how it works for the entire photo, which is important as well.  Just something to think about.  How you display your edits should be about showing off your skill and how it makes photos extra special and brings out their best. ^__^
