Not very much specific but do searches and learn the following- RAW, smart objects, using curves, levels, adjustment layers and layer mask (very important!), understanding sharpening, non-destructive retouching techniques, luminosity masking, selection in PS, channels and understanding the histogram. Try to ignore easily recognizable effects like lens flare and high pass. Hope this helps.

And run experiments with simple colors/grays to test effects! Understand WHY things work.
