Anything for you, m' dear. Do they have that at Panera? You know me. That's who makes my pot luck carry-in all the time... and only the sweet bagels.

Probably no cream cheese this time. At the temps we normally enjoy at the Birthday shoot, the cream cheese would last at least 10 minutes.

Interesting, how to figure out who to invite???

I think 2/3 of the models on the attendance list would never think of shooting with me (the DARK SIDE), all the rope and such. From my profile I can see how one might think Im some sort of pervert. The other 1/3 have already shot with me and at least one is currently on my profile (don't bother guessing, you are very likely wrong unless you walk into the LIGHT).

So Boyd, we have known each other for a few years, whats on your mind? Whats with the invite only? Are you trying to take the CAC in a different direction than before?

that's the problem with invite only. Sometimes wonderful people who wanna get back into shooting will just be overlooked amd new people well how ya gonna invite them if you don't know them.

I discussed this with a wonderful core group of people who attended a small private shoot (20 people) I had last Saturday. Their concerns were that they wanted a shoot (a) where the models want to shoot with the photographers and vice versa, (b) where there will be less of an incentive to flake, and (c) where everyone is comfortable with each other. I've also welcomed their input and folks who they'd like to see invited. Such an approach is getting some folks back who are frankly bored with the group shoots as usual set up. Plus, the new set up encourages flexibility with scheduling. If you have a project you want to do with a model that involves 2-3 hours, you don't have to feel constrained to put them into a one hour time slot. I'm inviting folks every day, as much as being able to send 15 PM's a day allows. Obviously, I haven't gotten to everybody yet. I'll have my first hard list I'll PM to confirmed attendees tomorrow. Plus, by making this private, I have more flexibility with the venue's rules.
