It won't shift out of park unless I hit the shift lock over ride button. The mechanic said it sounds like the neutral safety switch. I'm taking it in today.

Well, the problem is not the neutral safety switch. The front seats and middle console will need to be removed to fix the problem. I'll have to take it to the dealer for this. I'm not happy.
