Some RAW files to play with.
Hello, my name is Sean and I'm a control Freak. In an effort to learn to relinquish control of my images, and see how others might take an image I've created and run with it, I've uploaded a couple Raw files to the link below. I encourage creativity and look forward to seeing what you do with them. I do ask the following: - Please post a small internet version of your finished image in this thread before posting it to your profile. - Any images you wish to use in your port please credit me. - Be willing to share with me the full high-res finished image at my request. (a jpeg or tiff, not your PSD file). - You can not sell the image in any way shape or form. The link to the zip file containing the Raw Files. http://www.sendspace.com/file/g5iozy What's in the file The last two were shot on a grey background to be cut out later in post. Cheers, Sean Jul 24 10 04:20 pm Link These two caught my eye. Probably not up to your standards but I had to give them a try. Loved the location, outfit and props. One color and one black and white Jul 24 10 05:24 pm Link Cool. Definitely like the first one. Did you use portraiture to do the skin smoothing? I've found that with those particular images the wood is very close to her skin and also takes on the smoothing. I did it on a separate layer and maked out the areas I didn't want smoothed. Jul 24 10 05:42 pm Link HA...it was a problem with my gallery settings. Sorry for that. Should be fixed now. Jul 24 10 05:44 pm Link Dragon Ink Photography wrote: There they go. Jul 24 10 05:45 pm Link Bernie Browder wrote: No worries. You can still use a mask on your adjustment layer and paint out the areas that you don't want smoothed. But the KISS principle is something I try to stick to as well. Sometimes I don't succeed. lol. Jul 24 10 05:54 pm Link Thanks for the great images. I wanted to do a portrait so I cropped a bit. Hope you don't mind! Before: After: High-res: http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/416/ … 1portr.jpg Jul 24 10 08:55 pm Link Ryan Rowland wrote: Your welcome. and nice work. I especially like her eyes. I'm enjoying seeing the differences between what they started as and where they went. Usually I'm really close to the process to see that instant difference. I usually make sure my images span the entire greyscale spectrum, but I like the subdued tones of this one. I may have to consider doing that more.
