In praise of Bush!
Jan 11 11 02:34 am Link One more Bump! Jan 11 11 08:20 pm Link Pubic hair. I has it. Jan 11 11 09:04 pm Link Jan 12 11 09:28 am Link We prefer all our models to have a bit of bush and it says in our assignment description. If they show up with not enough, we have our MUA pencil in some for the television work. I'm old fashioned I suppose. I think it compliments the female form. Absence of anything down there looks weird to me. Jan 12 11 11:22 am Link My feeling that pubic hair is more artistic (whatever that means) and shaving is being fuelled by models catering to photogs seeking the "barely legal" look, which I find quite unappealing. 18+ {my entire port} Jan 12 11 11:54 am Link http://nightheronphoto.deviantart.com/a … 3306&qo=14 http://nightheronphoto.deviantart.com/g … 4#/d2scn8d http://nightheronphoto.deviantart.com/a … 3306&qo=32 http://nightheronphoto.deviantart.com/art/Bailey-at-the-Rapids-168797829?q=gallery:nightheronphoto/25013306&qo=45 http://nightheronphoto.deviantart.com/a … 3306&qo=50 Jan 12 11 03:20 pm Link BMI Studio wrote: Photographing Candace and Melissa is almost cheating... they're both very easy to get wonderful shots with Jan 12 11 04:10 pm Link Bump! I have a casting call up, in fact. If any Toronto area models, or travellers see this, please get in touch. Jan 15 11 05:20 am Link Stephen Dawson wrote: I've shot with four models from Toronto. This is somewhat of a hairy situation to make a call on. I'm going to allow this thread to stay open since it may serve some lofty artistic expression purpose but I am moving it out of the industry forums and to off-topic. Jan 16 11 11:13 am Link Where do you people stand on Merkins...lol Note:I had no idea such things existed until 2 weeks ago Jan 16 11 11:33 am Link Rik Austin wrote: Deciding that a thread has to be moved from one forum to another after a full month .... Jan 16 11 12:45 pm Link I like the model to have pubic hair for the same reason I prefer her not to have tattoos or unnatural color to her hair: I like to shoot naturalistic type things, so the more "natural looking," the better. Having said that, there's not much that's a deal-breaker, and I've happily shot with unshaven, tattooed, and purple-haired models. Jan 16 11 01:43 pm Link Bumping time again! Not personally and not as a photographer. I happen to think that it obscures the view of the beautiful architecture. That's just me. Apr 23 11 04:32 am Link Apr 25 11 09:39 am Link At first, I hated fully shaved women. I think my objection was simply that it suggested youth and I wasn't comfortable with the "little girl look." These days, shaved labia and mons are the norm on fully adult women, so I don't have that distaste anymore and the look is attractive to me. That said, for photographic purposes, there is a lot to be said for a nicely trimmed pubic area. For one thing, it allows for some poses that might otherwise look too explicit, if not for a little cover that the hair provides. I guess my view on this subject is that both can work and a few more models with some pubic hair would be nice. Apr 25 11 10:01 am Link It has been a while, but I just added to more models to the Bush list! Jul 09 11 03:48 am Link MerrillMedia wrote: I can agree with this. While I don't look down on shaven women (or men) pubic regions, my personal preference is to leave some there. I don't see the point in spending my spare time completely getting rid of that hair, especially when it creates so much discomfort later. I was also insecure about that region of mine in my youth and have come to feel more comfortable with it a little covered. As a figure art model, I find it is good to have a more natural and simple look. Oct 06 11 11:28 am Link Tog wrote: I also like this. Sums it up for me.
