the Canes never had to rely on some prayer,Tebow type gimmick or what not to win all their championships in their past......

I'm thankful that they have become this good this quickly with their self imposed recruiting cuts and sanctions.....to me today and anything beyond is house money...
hoping for the best, but realisticly....just keeping it a good game till the end would be awesome

Miami has a ranking but I have said all year that they are not that good.  The Gators are terrible this year as we all know and the ONLY reason Miami beat Florida was due to 5 turnovers by the Gators.  The ONLY reason Miami has 14 points right now is because of the two FSU turnovers.  Clearly, Miami is good at capitalizing when the other teams cough up the ball.  I expected FSU to win convincingly tonight, I did not expect FSU to cough up the ball twice like they have.

Miami is NOT good at all.  Some of their wins they have just squeaked by and they have not played anyone really good.  FSU should take care of Miami easily.  Right now the score is 35-14.

Yes, of course they did.  This conversation has nothing to do with the Gators, Chris.  You are missing the point.  The Gators suck this year.  My point is, Miami isn't any good as demonstrated by ONLY JUST BARELY BEATING SUCKY TEAMS this year.  Relish in the Canes beating the Gators...sure, I do not blame you...but does it really mean anything considering how bad the Gators are?  NO!  Will FSU relish in beating the Gators this year...OF COURSE but will it really mean anything beyond the rivalry....NO, it will not.  The Gators will just be a minor speed bump in their journey this year, just as Miami is a minor speed bump.  I am not an FSU fan by any stretch of the imagination but I do hope they make it to the National Championship game as they have the BEST CHANCE at representing the state of Florida well.

Turns out, the song is so insipid that I had never actually watched it all the way through. I only got about 1/3 of the way in and turned it off, I never made it to the Panda before.

You know that was done by the same guy that did Friday, Friday, Friday right?

Interesting topic north of the border,  wonder if it'll work in this country and how it will effect freelancers.

You know where this is going to get REAL interesting is in the area of TV

Because a WHOLE lot of shows are filmed in Vancouver and all over Canada
So if the photogs officially own the copyright, does that mean that the principal photographer now owns the rights to the video he just shot for the TV show?

In particular, shows that are no longer in production and which are making money in syndication? I'm betting some major league litigation will come out of this.

these are protections we already enjoy...

the only time a photographer does not own copyright in the USA is a "work for hire" situation or if the photographer specifically transfers his copyright to someone else/entity.

In Canada, if a client hired you to do headshots, the client then owned copyright...
in the US, the photographer owned copyright for the same situation.

in the US or Canada, if it is part of your normal job parameters to create images for your employer, the copyright is owned by the employer..

so bascially Canada has caught up with the US..

Is there anything on the menu that can't be deep fried?  I keep trying to perfect deep fried beer, but I just say screw it and drink it cold.
