Neolithic spirits The background image is of the Ring of Brodgar in Orkney (north of Scotland). It is a Neolithic stone circle. The figures (intended to represent neolithic spirits) were photographed in studio against seamless backdrop using shear fabric to create a sligthly ghostly appearance and then clipped and inserted into the background image. Each image was adjusted to produce consistent lighting and transparancy adjusted to enhance the ghostly effect. The resulting image was texture and colour adjusted to create a twilight atmosphere. p.s. Please suspend your disbelief about neolithic peoples having shear fabric lol.

This was complicated. The stone work is a stock piece that I completely disassembled, enlarged, stretched, modeified and then put back together. The background of the aquarium started out as a photo of the forest behind my house and wa shevaily modified with a ship that wasn't sunk till I got a hold of it. There are dozens of rocks, I think 14 fish and two dolphins. The two mermaids (mother and daughter) were shot in chromakey, as were the two kids. I added glare to the glass as well as glow from the flames.
