This was the model's very first photo shoot. She was shot in place among the yellow flowers. I processed it in a sort of faux HDR style and then added the white horse, wings, horn, stars, smoke etc. All done in CS5

This photo was a piece of stock that I had worked on before but completely reworked later. I changed the background and I added the parts of the dress where it is blowing backwards. I added the horns, the cage, the birds etc. I painted the hair, skin, make up. The vignette was added last. This was all done in Photoshop CS 5. smile

"Tristan as Castiel." I used a photo I took in our front yard and used Photoshop to do all the manipulations with the wings, the energy spheres, and I had to manipulate his arms and hands a bit to get them in the right position. I also had to use the content aware to remove vehicles from the street and some things in the neighbor lady's yard. He is very into the show "Supernatural" and liked Castiel's character and wanted me to add in a sort of super hero essence. I'm new to posting in forums, so I'm still not sure how to make the image just show up in this, sorry about the link. hmm

I'm still trying to figure out how to have the image show up in the thread.

Full photomanipulation. Used: 3D model, sky photo, field photo, textures. I blended the background to looks like one image, also changed the colors and the highlights ad shadows... Added the model (she is completely changed - lights, shadows, colors, her body, hair ...) There is texture to make it looks better.

Used photoshop for layering and extracting.

DQ - layer and extract means copy and paste to me.   The explanation of how the image is processed is a vital part of the contest.

I thought that extracting meant removing what was there and replacing it with something that makes the image look continuous?

As I stated, that is what it means to me.  But this contest is meant to be more challenging, more artistic.  Your image is great however.

Thanks...I guess it's a good thing that you can't tell that I reconstructed parts of the image  wink

For the future, if I had explained that I removed a stool and light stands plus moved her legs and reconstructed the gazebo, would that have been enough?
