"Ghosts in the Fog." I used photoshop cs5 to create this picture. I took the original picture of a foggy morning while driving in my car, took a picture of Drew and his girl walking, added a bear in her hand because the toy she was originally holding didn't look right, more fog, some clouds, and layered in a few trees. I wanted to capture a surreal feeling of Drew looking down at his daughter and incorporate it into a ghostly theme.

Everything in this was completely painted over, and the background was added. All of the blue lines were added as well!

Just reading that DQ and was wondering does the rules not mean that "you" (the one entering into the contest) was the one who processed and edited said artwork being entered into the contest or at least had some role in the editing and manipulation of the artwork being entered?

Ali - please read all the rules.  They have been revised in the last few weeks.
The process is as important as the entry.     It's usually the creator of the image that enters the contest.

Normally, the person entering is the person that processed the final image.  Fred and I have discussed the fact that sometimes a model or MUA may enter and should this be permitted.     We would like to hear everyone's opinion on this.

I think that since there is the link that asks you to post what picture you won for the day has the trophy that says "digital artist of the day" that unless it was the model who did the editing on their own pic and knows exactly what went on and what was used that models shouldn't be allowed to post. I'm not trying to come off as a jerk or anything, I just figure that this seems to be a contest for the artists who did all the digital artistry.

Aw, I guess I can play anymore. That stinks because I love digital art. Ah well.

I've had quite a few private messages about this, and I have to agree it's appropriate only for the artist to have this award.

Ali - you could ask the digital artist to participate in the contest.  There is also the Model of the Week contest that you would certainly win.

Thanks for the post KayC!  Input is always needed and appreciated.

No worries. I'll stop playing.. Maybe it should say digital artist of the day and not digital art.

Sorry Ali.

I only make changes when I get feedback from participants and go with the majority.
