And I'm not making this up. Read the verse yourself. It was in one of Paul's letters. It can only be referring to a neutral density filter of some kind...or perhaps Ray-Ban sunglasses? https://images.proboards.com/new/cool.png

Oh fur sure... I can just see Jesus now... sporting some Ray Ban 'aviators' at the 'water to wine festival'... wink... lol

Same guy. 'Elron' is just a whimsical abrreviation for "L. Ron".  I know all about him. Am I missing something? 'Xenu' is the Scientology equivalent of Satan in Christianity.

I'm off to Corona del Mar for a couple of days. It's beautiful down there. I'll post a pic later tonight if I can get an internet connection.

Let me guess... you had to park your car on the other side of the highway... then walk thru a highway underpass to get there... because that beach is easily visible... but fenced off from the highway... wink

Is that so? Me too, since I grew up there. I'll post another mystery spot when I get finished editing. Or you can post one for me to identify in the interim.

Yes, very much like La Jolla, but La Jolla is in SD County. This is a public beach in Orange County. These rocks are visible from the highway. Which beach?

(Hint: it's in South Laguna.)

Beach name begins with 'A'. This is a bitchen spot, Gary. I don't know if I could get away with it, but I'd love to shoot some swimsuit models on these rocks (at low tide, however!)

But HEY... that green mossy stuff and those flat smooth rocks are VERY SLIPPERY when wet... or even dry.  Combine that with models getting hit by waves trying to pose... and you have a recipe for disaster.  I'm all about the safety dude... cause I've seen way too many models and photographers get MESSED UP BIGTIME in dangerous situations like that... yikes

You may be right. I would have to be VERY careful. And I probably couldn't find a model daring enough to attempt it, unless she was.....a mermaid. But seriously, I would only attempt it a low tide and i would have the model with her feet set firmly in the sand with the rocks in the background.

Absolutely. It's always best to have the model's feet set firmly in some sand with the rocks in the background.

Here's another mystery spot. As always, a PUBLIC beach in OC (posting private property pics would not be fair). Guess the location.

Can't recall that spot... the terrain at the beach changes so much with the tides and sand getting washed away alot... is it by Aliso?

This is the south end of Big Corona Beach in Corona del Mar as seen from the bluff. This is a very safe spot and I would love to shoot models here. The only catch is that the city charges outsiders $400/day to shoot here! If you don't get the permit you risk getting a citation. Assholes! But I hear the photographers brought on this situation themselves by their previous bad behavior. Aliso Beach is my slippery rocks spot in South Laguna.

Breathtaking! Gary, you need more gallery space.

Now summer is gone and we are into Fall. October is probably the best month for beach shots. Kids are back in school, the beaches are deserted on weekdays, and the sun! The sun is at an oblique angle, yielding rich colors. And it's still warm enough to frolic in the surf. Heck, the water was 69 degrees a few days ago down there. The surfers did not need to wear their wetsuits. They were stoked.

Yeah... a few 1000 wedding photographers got caught using that location constantly... the city saw a source of income... and erected a 'must need a permit' sign at the beginning of that small concrete trail that leads down to 'Little Corona' (end of Poppy St.)... now it's 'citation city'... tongue

Laguna is the same way, but you, apparently, have found a workaround at your secret spot. Mum's the word. https://images.proboards.com/new/wink.png
