Photoshoot at a huge mansion? So typical. How about... Limo service? All you can eat sushi? Staying overnight at the mansion with the models? Boats and islands? Getting stranded on an island for over 5 hours? F*CKING PRICELESS All I gotta say is that this weekend was epic. You all that didn't go missed out.

I got home yesterday but unable to post due to a family 4th of July Party. Anyways, I would like to thank all the amazing models and photographers who attended this event. One of a kind and will never be duplicated. Kai is correct. Photoshoot at a mansion is so typical. We have done many mansion shoots. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas but I will give you minor details for the ones who missed out and why this was NOT your typical mansion shoot: The event was suppose to start on Saturday but some of us photogs and models, arrived on Friday. Lay out in the pool, bought groceries, cooked barbeque for dinner and pool party with models and photogs. One of the attending models happen to be an "adult only"actress. Brought some of her DVDs. John C had a great time with lap dances. Limo sevice to Lavo. Models and photogs stayed and partied all expense paid while other photogs went to "other" clubs and blew chunks of money. We ate steak and eggs at 3am at a nearby casino. Came back to the mansion and stayed the night. What? Yep, not your typical mansion shoot. Saturday, more photogs and models came for the event. Breakfast was served. Did group shoot at the mansion. Party atmosphere. Unlimited booze. Fun times. Lunch was served, then the 1 on 1s. Very organized. No issues. Everyone got ready to to go out. Limo service again. Photogs and over 21 models went clubbing while other photogs including myself accompanied the under 21 models to dinner. Too tired from todays shoot, we decided to go back to the mansion and shoot at the pool with lights and gels. Yes, this is after midnight. Some watch "movies", some talked about gears, some did some more shooting, someone got a full body massage, etc. I couldn't police everyone. Too many rooms and too big of a place for me to check. The "over 21" team came home from partying at 5AM! They were loud. Woke up everyone with screams and laughter. Some drunk guy got pushed off a bed as he went in the wrong room. The same guy kicked me out of my bed and kept saying, " I never cheated on my girlfriend". I heard the same guy was so drunk, he was howling like a werewolf at the Strip. Yep, not your typical mansion shoot. Sunday at 830am, the local models came and ready for the 2nd day event. Mostly everyone was still passed out. Some shot a little while others were getting ready. The 2nd event was to go to Lake Mead for the boat/sea doo/island shoot. Brunch was served. LOL. We went to the lake. Oh yea, limo service. Did some shooting at an island. Behind the scene photos will show it looked like a Sports Illustrated/Victoria Secret photo shoot. Lightning, thunder, and rain came down at the dock. Our boat was unable to pick us up. We were stranded in an island with gorgeous models, food, water, and alcohol. The models were worried, some photogs were more worried about their equiptment, some were worried about not getting their lightning shots. We had 1 Eazy Up to potentially cover our gear in case the rain came out way. Some kept shooting. Some captured amazing lightning shots. We were expecting to spend the night and get rescued the following morning. We made the best of it. Telling stories, laughing, taking pics of the group, etc. It was dark, warm, wind calmed down. Someone was waving a ring flash for help. Lots of power from vagabond minis that could last us a week. Having "Jesus" on our side, a private boat came asked if we needed help. Sent the models with a few photogs with them while myself and 5 others stayed with the gear. 5 minutes after, a bigger boat came. It was big so it was unable to dock so we had to swim 50 yards to the boat. Eventually, everyone including all the equiptment was rescued. Some partied more with models at the mansion, some went home, while some did their own thing. Definately not your typical mansion shoot. Monday morning came, breakfast was served by one of the photogs. She, yes she, cooked it better than I did the last time, LOL. We all parted ways. The sad part was, the event had to end...Not your typical mansion shoot. photos to come.... Oh, Karl was drunk all these time so I don't know if he could add anything to this as he probably does not remember much.

When all is said and done, D&K will come down in history as LEGENDARY...and long after that, as most legends get passed along in years, it will be a MYTH...nothing can be this good! But seeing Drew and Karl out do themselves over and over again, I bet it won't be long until they top this one yet again. Congrats to D&K for the wonderful event!!! Too bad I can't go. Sorry Drew, I couldn't afford the LV for my wife so I can go. LOL Can't wait for the pics especially the BTS!!!

Great weekend, great models and photogs, not as hot as Iraq, but the only people shooting at me had cameras, not guns, so that was good...but I hope the 3-4 "good" (and I use that term loosley) samaritans have to answer for ripping off "Jesus" ! Thanks for everything D&K and everyone else that went. ... and y'all missed a pretty nice light show too.... OMG. And I thought that sunset shots were the killer ones to book. I didn't know that D&K had lighting time slots for the Vegas shoot. ![smile](//assets.modelmayhem.com/images/smilies/smile.png)

No this wasn't your typical photoshoot. This was an adventure, new experience, exciting and scary. I like to thank Laryssa for inviting us over for dinner and for the firework show. I have to say that Laryssa's home is amazing. Her backyard alone is beyond beautiful. It's probably the best location over all the other locations we've used. If you didn't know, he paid the 2 couples that came by and rescued the first party with me and Drew somewhere in ball park of $500 dollars to have us rescued and get the camera equipment returned. Please reply and thank him. Thanks very much Peter, that was quite a gesture On another note They actually got paid *three* times that !

I only had a shoe-mount flash for supplemental lighting. Just when the light turned somewhat decent, the storm started rolling in. We partied with a Mexican family who was camping out at the location. Our boat made an attempt to pick us up during the storm but was not able to. Two ranger boats stopped by. The first ranger told us their priority was to rescue capsized boat, and suggested it would be faster to walk to the marina. We were rescued by the second boat later in the evening after Brett called 911.

We were rescued by the second boat later in the evening after Brett called 911. It was the same ranger boat both times: that was part of the whole ordeal. The main guy from the boat didn't seem like he wanted to deal with us the first time, and the second time was when he got into it with one of the models, (or one of the models got into with him and said she wished she was a guy so she could just punch him out), because he didn't seem like he was in too much of a hurry to go back out and rescue the second group.
