Even when sending out FR on you normal FB page, if you do not know the person, it's considered spam and FB tells you so. How are you supposed to gain more viewers/friends if sending out FR's is spam? On MM, my list of friends is also my list of references for other photographers, models amd MUAs. I still can't convince myself I need a Facebook page. By day I work at a local motorcycle dealership in sales. If Facebook could help me sell motorcycles, I might consider a Facebook page. Aug 21 11 09:54 am Link Facebook is helpful if you use it correctly. Keep in mind that a fan page is what you need to better promote yourself. A personal page has a cap on the amount of "friends" you can have, you can't make a default landing page, and personal pages will NOT show up in search engines. A fan page will show up in Google and you can advertise what you want your clients to see without worrying about what photo you posted last night. This is a bit off subject, but if anyone needs a fan page built, let me know. I made an offer a while back to make a fan page in exchange for a shout out to a non-profit organization for disabled children, but had no responses. Some of my examples can be found here: http://facebook.com/singeblack The examples are dynamic web pages. I can do flash as well but prefer not to. Flash is easier and looks nicer, but people on mobile devices or certain browsers will not be able to see them (the draw-backs of flash).
