Ok so I will BEE the one to admit it: this trip SUCKED! Models amazing! Photographers, a few were great, but most GWC! LIE!! BULL SHIT! SCREWE JOB x10! Thanks for what?   hmm not organized, no model releases, Back stabbing, tiny rooms with tiny ...... Pisses me off! I wasted my time! A few people I trusted I should not have. The few other I did not know, well some turned out to be "real" thank you "real" people for the great times. To the ones who are are shady more then "S. L. I. M," yep old dudes, that is Emenem, He is a real artist.
I thought most were greedy! GWC sponsering girls just to spend time with them, puke! I was so sick of hearing ' O"oh ....OH..,I just made $1500 on one's (GWC get a cheeper sponsor) So tired of sitting in a tiny room that cost way too much, sick off shooting on a fake ass golf corse, just flat out sick of all the happy, I had so mush fun... when lets face it, unless you were given a credit card to stay drunk, we ALL lost $ on this Giligan's Islans amateur trip! THANKS for shooting way to many hours in the heat of the day, for cheep amateur set up's, for group shoots, for "sponsors", "roommates" and all the drama and crap I still feel was the worst screw job ever! SOOO IMHO WTF WAS THIS FOR? BULLSHIT! YEP Def. amateur!  BUMBLE.
FYI I am telling it as I see, felt, and am feeling it. IDK what feedback I get. so save it, for a beautiful glam shot.

This is so funny but maybe a little true. You needed to go about the cruise the smart way like I did, barely shoot and make most of situation, I am very happy with my results from cruise experience and came back 5 lbs lighter cuz I spent my time working out on cruise, eating healthy and seeing the entertaining sites both on ship and off ship smile.

Roger's a credible character whom I admire and respect in so many ways: service to country, photographic prowess (his pubs are awesome), business acumen, leadership, service, etc. I also appreciate his assistance o'dark 30 Sunday morning of disembarkation when, not withstanding his physical and photographic stature kindly offered to hold reflector for little ole me with probably the tiniest camera on this expedition! :-)

Yes, I see the strand of hair across Marla's left eye, after much thought decided I liked the shot it as is.

I like it... get really tired of all the over-retouched images that have erased any suggestion of skin texture and reduced every last bit of skin to the same exact tone. Sometimes I wonder if I'm looking at picture of real people, or looking at cartoons.

This may get me into trouble somewhere somehow but I can't resist the urge to post this any longer. This is for a limited time only as I only have a limited number of MM image slots.

I used to have a news background before shifting to other types of photography so this is right down my alley, so to speak.

I would caption this, "So you want to do WHAT on this ship?!" :-))
This is in the context of shooting in a public place (Carnival Splendor mini golf course) with some flowing-dressed and bikini-clad models, flashes and tripods--which is deemed crosses the line into "commercial."

Bumble, I am so sorry that you are among the folks whose expectations were left lacking.

It is very difficult to respond to your post in an open forum, without unintentionally hurting feelings, or fomenting deeper animosity and disdain for one or another person, but I feel compeled to say something.

I support your thoughts, I know you were not alone in those feelings.  I also support those who say they had a great time, because I believe them too, I am among those.

One of my favorite things to do is meet new people.  There was an abundance of that for me.  I am glad we met, and I look forward to the next time our paths cross.  Hopefully we will be laughing about the trip, and recovery from your pain will be full and complete...

(Deleted my response to Bumble)

Paul said it much better than I did...and his posted first.

Bumble, I too am sorry the cruise didn't work for you.  Parts of it didn't work for me either...but enough did that I would do it again.  I look forward to crossing paths with many of the folks I met this time, and I will be disappointed if some choose not to make the voyage next time.

My skill level was also challenged, and I believe I am a better photographer now than before there cruise experience.  I also believe I have some nice images to share with the models I was able to photograph.
