So i have recently joined model mayhem which i'm really exited about!
I have been modeling on and off for 4 years but this year has been my best.
I just got into underwater modeling and im totally addicted to it now! Photos come out with such a different feel, a bland and average wardrobe is transformed into something truly magical underwater.

Here is my work from my only two shoots, first one was in a pool, second in the sea. Tell me what you think, and share your underwater shots!
I WANT TO SEE THEM!!!

I think you've taken to it like a duck to water so to speak.
First one is amazingly natural.

I've always wanted to try this type of modeling, but can never seem to find any photogs with the proper equipment. I love your work and I hope a the summer approaches, I come across someone willing to do these type of shoots with me.

Its really hard to find underwater photographers, esspecially because allot of people are scared of water in general.
I accidentally found this ONE guy in the whole island of Puerto Rico and no one else compares to his work in this area.
Keep looking though, and once you find them you will fall in love with it. Its definately a rare art.

Good Show Amy!  bravo!!!

yep underwater is a truly different world entirely...

issues for models is keeping one's face totally relax... BOTH eyes and mouth open naturally... no release of air (causing bubbles)... balance &  timing...

issues for the tog is the need of a weight belt to stay deep... excellent lung capacity... knowing one's equipment attributes & limitations...

issues for a make-up artist is traditional product last 15 to 30 seconds... TEMPTU S/B airbrush product is good for 10 minutes and more...

This talent is a lifeguard... really helps to totally love an aquatic environment...

above all... respect your aquatic environment... please be safe, k?

Amy,

Very well done for your first and second attempt.  In your next attempt I would suggest to think about slightly opening your mouth a little to bring more expression into the image.  Don't get me wrong it's hard to notice you are holding your breath but if you look at the image above and one of mine.

The slightly open mouth helps the image.  A subtle detail to work on.

Kudo's to all involved in your images, very much enjoyed them.

Cheers
Ben

I'm hoping to make it to Chicago in July and would love to try an underwater art nude shoot. I just have to practice and build up my lung capacity. Maybe if I stop smoking, it would be easier, ya think....hmmmmmm. LOL!

p.s. I used to be a fish basically, (swim teams and grew up in a pool then later turned to dance and really want to combine it.)

More like scared to take all their equipment underwater! Plus gear for underwater cameras is not cheap!

They are all beautiful, but one in the sea, it simply has a different dimension, ethereal, surreal, mesmerizing and full of context, awesome!
