Shoot nudes.  They don't even have to be that good.

Why are photo views all that important?

Edit:  I am being serious.  Shouldn't you be more concerned with getting qualified leads rather than simply more quantity?

Haha, very funny

I Just meant how do I get more interaction on my profile.  I see some profiles with 1000's of views even though the photo's are not that great (IMO) usually its profiles just full of  nudes. I meant what things can i do on here to make my profile more visible.

This.  Although if you're just looking to bump up views, it doesn't really matter if you like their work.

And, nude gets views, kinda nude / sexy / lingerie sort of thing might even get more.

And quality doesn't hurt.

Edit; it also really helps if you're an attractive female model who says yes to shooting nudes.  That can really bump up your views.

I was told a long time ago that full on nudes get more views that artistic nudes. I have certainly found that to be true on my own page.

Pick a more enticing avatar.

You have a great portfolio,

but your current avatar is one of your weakest shots

Why is this not your avatar ? He even looks like a "Chesterfield" smile

Look at other people's photos. Make a mental note to how you found them and then repeat the inverse.

personal validation maybe?
when i see that some people have hundreds of comments while i have none, i feel like my pics suck.
and granted they are not as great as some llamas', i can only dream to be THAT good, but i don't think i'm really truly horrible

(and before anyone suggests it i don't wanna post in the critique forum, it'll just make me cry tongue)

I think you done well by posting this thread, now a lot of people will view your pictures (btw they are really good so let me know if you want a shoot one day wink ).

Also, Id say comment on pictures of people from your area, they will be more likely to check your stuff because there is a possibility of working togeva. Personally I don't normally view pictures of people outside UK (only if I'm really impressed and have time), but maybe it's just me.

A master baiter does get more photo views by opening a can of worms.

Why are views from random strangers so important to you? Isn't it more important to have your target client view your work?

I am glad you like that one, I had it as my avatar fro a long time but it hardly got any views. I try to change my avatar every few days to keep profile fresh. It really does seem like I need to shoot sexier(tasteful) photos to get noticed.
T
Someone mentioned validation as reason, I guess it is a bit disheartening when you see a profile  photo with 1000's of views amd you wonder what you are doing wrong.

Having 5,000 views isn't even going to win you a free cup of coffee smile  Just focus on making something good to view! The rest will work itself out.

OP, are you asking how to literally up the number of photo views, or how to get more people to come to your page and look around, etc?

I agree with most other posters that the number of views you have is really not all that important.  Yes, it feels nice when you see how many views an image has, but does it mean anything?  When I am casting for a model I don't base my decision on the number of image views, lists or comments they have.

In addition to the suggestions of being more active on the site, you might want to consider a female model as your avatar.  This site certainly has more female models than male and more photographers that shoot women than men.  Female models looking for a photographer are probably more likely to click through to view a profile of a photographer with a female model.  And male photographers looking for inspiration for a shoot, or just to see pretty pictures of women, will click on a female avatar.  So if views is your priority then it might help.  Of course, that may hurt in your attempt to network with male models.

You do great work with men, definitely in the minority on this site in that respect, but to get more views show off your shots of women.

Just my $0.02

My avatar changes everytime I come on here, it was girl up until yesterday. I made it that picture because its my picture with the most comments. Up until yesterday, it was agirl in a swimsuit.

If your on Facebook post a link to your MM page also. Or whatever social site you use and vice versa.  Asking for a critique of your port might do the trick. By the way nice pics and keep up the good work!

I am thinking that this was unintentional, but this comes off as snobbery, and that nude shots are an easy road to fame, big prizes, etc., and that the people who shoot them are less talented.

There have been times that my portfolio was comprised entirely of nude imagery - I didn't do it for page views - I had it that way because that was my artistic direction at the time.

I would hope that you wouldn't have looked down on me as 'a guy who just wanted people to look at his pics.'

I mean, it's obvious that no one is immune to wanting people to look at his or her work, clothed or not...

Views also depend on where you're located (US gets most), your fame and are exponential, once you're well established everyone will have a look. Subject is also important too, several people have mentioned that nudes tend to get more looks than other pics, but ones with unusual qualities that stand out will attract attention or those of a specific genre, for example some people will look at every fantasy or sci pic in a port
