Another favorite of mine is your B&W. However, I propose deleting it and posting only the right side as I discourage the posting of collages in artists ports. See Rule [3] on page 1 of this thread.

(1) The B&W that you liked isn't an image that I made into a collage; I received it that way from the photographer... If I were to alter it (i.e. re-editing and just posting the right side), would it be infringing on the photographer's work? Is it just better to ask the photographer himself?

(2) Would pictures with other people (i.e. my significant other during a couples shoot) be too distracting?

I'll update my pictures with what I have now according to your guidelines (minus the B&W since I'm not sure what to do with it...), and again as soon as I get other images from trade work (:

I think it is OK for you to crop out a part of the finished image without infringing on the photographer's work as long as you do not edit it further. However it never hurts to ask, I don’t see any reason the photog would object.

You should NOT post an image with your bf UNLESS this image is top class. If you do post, please do NOT mention this is your bf as this would seem unprofessional.

In the specific instance of the Village Voice ad, it's more a matter of the correct artist getting credit, not the artist whom canceled. Just mentioning that it was credited incorrectly might still carry the association for some people that Marta had something to do with that shoot(not the case), and they just mixed up names/attributions.


Heather did the work, Heather gets 100% of the credit that I can give her, given that it was misprinted.

It is true that one cannot rely on comments and lists to get a constructive feedback on the quality of one's images or a fair evaluation of a port overall. This is especially true if the comments came as part of MM comment exchange game that some members enjoy playing

A first glance at your port shows that you have a beautiful face and sensuously curvy body. At the same time it is apparent that there is too much focus on nudity without providing a clear concept. There are also variant images that need to go.

Your first three images are variants as you wear the same outfit and very similar expression. I propose keeping the first one, which happens to be my favorite.


The other three variants are your outdoor brook images same wardrobe (or lack of it in this case I would delete the first two as you are just blankly staring at the camera. For nudes you should favor laying down position or have your arms/shoulders up to prevent your breasts from drooping. Keep this one as your expression is the best of the three as your expresion is the best

Having a 15 image limit on MM account is an advantage - it forces one to select and post only the very best images as is evident in your port. You have done a good job working within these constraints providing a good overview of your figure, portrait, poses and expressions. This is all a photographer or a potential client needs to make a decision whether to move forward or not.

I would not recommend deleting any image, but if you insist, I would say this one as it does not offer anything more than your other images. Unlike your other images, neither your pose nor your expression are that much captivating.


I love your fiery red hair, and this image nicely sums it up all.

Personally I try to match their height by placing one row all landscape, one row all portrait. Many MM'ers simply disregard this small aesthetic issue and just randomly place their icons, which can be a distraction.

If there is any weak point it would be that you offer a similar smiling expression in most of your photos. I will not ask you to delete any for this reason, just not in the future to select images with a more diverse set of expressions. Show diversity - anger, surprise, sultriness, etc.

I propose deleting this image with your lovely friend MLT as you are already displaying two other images with her. Worse, your expression is sort of blank and you don’t seem to be looking in the direction of your pointing hand.The image serves no purpose.

No need to remove any images now as you probably have limited set of images at this point. In the future I propose deleting your tree branch pose as you are already wearing the same bikini in your AVI portrait. Furthermore the photography here is a bit weaker compared to your other images..


I propose rearranging your port placing the four door images to align in the same row. As a group they are a captivating series.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I organized my photos the way they are on purpose. I must admit, you were the only person who remark that. As for expressions, I am still trying to work on it. Not many photographers wanted to shoot any negative emotions but I do have some of these emotions coming. I always jump on opportunities where I have the chance to show my ability to show more emotions. I am going to take note of everything you said, it's really helpful.

For consistency sake, you ought to caption this image as the viewer expects to learn where each image location is as the theme of your port is location.

I evaluate ports based on several principles spelled out in my original post on Page 1 of this thread. It is easy to greatly improve a portfolio at any level - from beginner like yours to advanced as well - by following these simple rules.

Most artists try to fill their ports to the maximum images allowed. To do so they often use variant images. But this is a detriment. Rule [1]. In your case I would remove two of images 1, 2 and 4 in first row as your expression is similar. I will leave it up to you which of the three to delete.

I would also remove one or two of your images in the grass. Same location, same dress.

Also remove your collage - Rule [3]. It also is a variant of the above mentioned images and has a snapshot feel to it.

The eye is confused due to the random haphazzard arrangement.


First, lets delete three of your weakest images. The image below is OK (1st row, 2nd image) but nothing really captivates the viewer. We dont want to post just OK images, we must post only great images.


Next, in this nude image (2nd row, 4th image) your pose shows that you can't stretch like a professional ballerina or gymnast. Your leg is crooked in your pose. Focus on your strengths, and avoid weaknesses. Delete it.

I think your port is perfect now. If you reached your limit of 15, its time to treat yourself and upgrade to VIP membership. However, even if you get the 200 image limit, NEVER disply more than 50-60. Use the spare space to hide images as I do - see my previous post.
