I still couldn't get my strobes to work with my Canon 350D. The equippment works god with my analog one...but not digital.

I am thinking of getting an infrared flash to fire my strobes. This way I would be wireless and have more freedom too...

Any experiences here with infrared flashes?

Why don't you get a pair of PocketWizards and make it simple?

What are you using to fire your strobes?  A sync cord (yeah, you'll need a hotshoe PC socket) will work, but if you're trying to use the on-camera flash to trigger the slaves, that won't because of the E-TTL pre-flash.  There is a flash that goes off before the shutter opens to determine the proper flash power and exposure, and that flash will set off your strobes.  Then, when the shutter's open, the slaves haven't had time to recycle, and won't fire again.

Or, if you're loaded, go for PocketWizards.
