I got to entertain a funny conversation a few days ago

a girl, foreigner, wants to break into the fashion modeling. As optimistic as any girl from Oklahoma or wherever that wants to make it big in NYC.

she doesnt kno I do photography and work with  aspiring models. Words from me in "quotes"

"How tall are you"

5'6 or 5'7 , but I have a twin so I maybe agencies will overlook my height

"Well do you have portfolio"

No, but I have a twin so I maybe agencies will overlook my that. I know one photographer so I hope to have this all out of the way in a month

"Do you have any experience?"

No, do you think an agency will sign me?

"well... agencies look for random things"

I know, but its difficult because my twin's visa will expire before mine, and I'm 24 now

"so maybe"

So maybe I'll say I'm 19

"maybe you should do some other kind of modeling to get experience"

Wouldn't that be illegal?

"uhm"

I need an agency to sign me and sponsor my visa so I can get paid

"have you been to a go-see"

I've heard mixed things, I dont think I need to go to one

"do you have time during the week to show up to agencies or meet anyone"

No, only weekends

I swear, it was like an xtranormal video I saw on youtube. But stranger things have happened

Its always fun energy to see cute girls passionate about something, I think I'm just going to walk away from this one... maybe, idk she is a twin ... twins.... big_smile

Don't you know that in situations like this you're supposed to say to her, "stick with me, babe, and you'll make it big" or something?

Okay, I've determined it is now appropriate to make my decision.

She may not ever be signed to an agency, but the good news is she has the ability to summon Mothra whenever she wants.

I have a twin sister (but we're not identical), but even if we were...I don't see how that would be relevant to anything, lol.

It sounds like they need an experienced manager.  Be sure to charge a large retainer upfront.

If the model were two years old it would be valuable because of work rules it would double the time in front of the camera on any given day.

Priceless.

she's legit hot, and plus her and her sister's visa will expire soon

but one variable is that she can extend her visa another 6 months or a year. but her sister won't be able to

also, from the photography perspective, it would be verboten for me to pay her, so thats interesting if you can see how this adventure could unfold

Passionate wouldn't be the first word that came to my mind. Words like delusional, oblivious and unrealistic would be a good start.

remember: sexy accent

If she had no idea I was a photographer, I'd wonder why this total babe came up to a not-exactly-young, out-of-shape stranger and started bending his ear about her llamaing aspirations. I'd figure she's either a hooker, a ball-busting tease, or a complete psycho.

Ah, I didn't think of instances like that. Though it did ring a bell since it reminded me of the Olsen Twins/Full House scenario.
