My first of probably a million questions that I will ask here.

What is the best way to achieve skin tones like these.

They have a certain thickness and a nice contrast. Anyone know this?

I'm so confused. OP, if that is your work on that site, it doesn't seem like you would need any help in the area you're asking.

The images you collectively posted vary between images...not a set formula or tone to them. Different techniques.

Some of the images you posted, however, look to have a subtle HDR/Tone Mapping thing going on.

well I am always learning... This is a real question, the skin color and the tones... I don't feel as if I am there yet.  smile

The color in the skin is so even and right. And it feels as if it is a lot darker than it was acutally shot, I often have problems trying to get that tone and color

Try selective color. In the reds, increase black levels. That will deepen the skin tones. To adjust the hue, check the CMY values in the target image and adjust selective color accordingly.

That takes care of hue. As for evenness, that's more a matter of luminance than color. In this image from your website, some D&B might be needed to even out the skin tones. (Also note the difference in sky color that frames the face. That influences how the skin tones appear.)

There are a few ways to do it but there are also like..4-5 different skin tones there.

You can use gradient map adjust with mask, using low opacity brush and painting.

chose 3 colors (low, high and midtone).
