If there is anyone out there that can give me pointers on how to retouch like this it would be greatly appreciated:)

Two things to focus on:

Cross-processing to get those blue shadows, and a technique like this to make the skin bronze.

it seems to me much of the look can be done in ACR/LR

Not sure specifically which aspect of the image you'd like to reproduce.

You can try what Peano said, to which I would add selections and color enhacement for the jeans. From the looks of it I don't think those bright tones were achieved via channels, when the skin looks desaturated. It's the contrast of tones that makes it look more dramatic.
