List of Yoga Models
Please list yourself if you are a model that can do yoga. If we get enough listings, I will organize it by location. You don't have to be a crazy, bendy person, but you should be able to do all the basic poses. In other words, if you can do a hand stand, or other inversions, you should be on this list. Dec 12 12 07:33 pm Link I'm not advanced but have been doing basic yoga to keep flexibility/mobility after destroying my body through ballet and break dancing Dec 12 12 07:40 pm Link Some of the best yogis I have photographed have been dancers who came to yoga to heal injuries, and stayed on to become teachers. Dec 12 12 07:43 pm Link I teach yoga and practice regularly. Would be interested. Dec 12 12 07:51 pm Link *raises hand* Dec 12 12 09:06 pm Link I only do Bikram. The poses are not the same throughout all types of yoga, however. So, asking for "all the basic poses" doesn't hold much value as some types of yoga are not as visually stunning as others. Dec 12 12 09:40 pm Link I do yoga and tae kwon do. I'm pretty stretchy and flexible but I cannot do a handstand or a split Dec 13 12 07:32 am Link I've been into yoga for a few years. Dec 13 12 09:19 am Link If anybody is coming to England, I have been practising yoga for years, taken up zumba and pilates. Hoping to do a ballet themed shoot Dec 13 12 09:26 am Link Sandra, its true there are different types of yoga. But when a model goes to a casting for a yoga shoot, there are some common yoga poses they are expected to be able to do. As a photographer who has shot dozens of yoga magazine covers over the past nine years, I have been at more castings than I can remember. Maybe it would be helpful to models reading this to know the poses they may be asked to do for digital polaroids at a casting: Dancer (Natarajasana) Standing split (UrdhvaPrasaritaEkaPadasana) Warrior three Handstand pose of some kind Headstand Wheel or upward bow(UrdhvaDhanurasana) Crow (Bakasana) Side Crane Firefly (tittibhasana) Various pigeon poses Dec 13 12 11:43 pm Link I have been known to a few bendy yoga poses Dec 13 12 11:50 pm Link Every day. Even when Im on the road. Dec 14 12 07:06 pm Link Right here Dec 17 12 07:52 am Link Riva_G wrote: Yeah and one of the best^^^^^^^ Dec 17 12 07:57 am Link Hey there. MM has a few threads right now for lists which have lost some of their value as the OP's have moved on. Nov 12 14 12:10 am Link DougBPhoto wrote: It's already there doug, shavasana aka corpse pose.
