Would 1979-era Minolta MD lenses work w. any DSLR?
I have a collection of 1979-vintage Minolta MD lenses (Vivitar, Tamron, and Minolta) that are used with my equally-old XG-7. These pre-date the more modern Maxxum lenses. Would these work with any DSLR body, perhaps with an adapter of some type. The Nikon digital SLRs I use require electronic Fstop information from the lens, or else you're shooting on pure manual. Studio work, fine. Just don't go for a spontaneous shot outdoors. But particularly in cases with special lenses (like if you had one of the 85 mm MD variosoft lenses) it would be worth a try. Aug 20 05 02:18 am Link |
