Regardless of how old the movie is, what is the best movie you've seen in the last 6 months? For me, I think it's Donnie Darko. Jan 02 13 01:07 pm Link I just watched that movie again last night (Donnie Darko). I love it. The directors cut is great because it actually explains what is going on, but I love the original edit because I can come up with my own conclusion. Jan 02 13 01:13 pm Link In the last 6 months it would have to be Se7en...Directors Cut! Awesome on Blu Ray! Jan 02 13 01:16 pm Link The King's Speech What an artful little jewel of a film. It did not condescend nor did it patronize or did it preach. It did not try to strangle me with my own heartstrings nor attempt to scour my eyeballs and eardrums with relentless ADD-level hyper-kinetics. I was enchanted for nearly 2 whole hours, which is quite a feat. God Bless America Bobcat Goldthwait's latest. A heartwarming tribute to contemporary USA. Yeah, no. Not really. Way-over-the-top satire. The Campaign Will Ferrell. Zach Galifianakis. I need say no more. Jan 02 13 01:22 pm Link Elizabethtown. Everyone I know hated this movie and I thought it was so cute. Jan 02 13 01:22 pm Link The Social Network Jan 02 13 01:30 pm Link Lovely Day Media wrote: Excellent movie...killer 80's music! Jan 02 13 01:51 pm Link Spaceballs was on a movie channel this morning so i watched it. hahaha i forgot how funny it is. I rented The Avengers a while ago. That was a good super hero movie. I also liked In Time. Jan 02 13 02:00 pm Link Paolo Diavolo wrote: I worked at a movie theater in 1987 when Spaceballs was new. I thought it was pretty hysterical then. I got to see the whole thing because the general manager royally screwed the pooch when he set it up. Jan 02 13 02:16 pm Link "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3" for like the 100th time on YouTube...the original 1974 version. Jan 02 13 04:35 pm Link I like movies where the bad guy wins. There aren't many of them around. Maybe that's part of what makes the Godfather trilogy so fantastic. Jan 02 13 04:39 pm Link Classic Mann. Great crime thriller Jan 02 13 05:41 pm Link Jan 02 13 05:42 pm Link Jules NYC wrote: Hahahaha. Lincoln was pretty damn good. Perks of Being a Wallflower is probably the best of its genre since the 1980's. Jan 02 13 05:55 pm Link Ive never seen Donnie Darko! I own it, but just never got around to it. My top three favourite movies are, 3. Law Abiding Citizen 2. Gladiator 1. A Beautiful Mind Jan 02 13 11:07 pm Link Lincoln was damned good - best I've seen in about 3 or 4 years. Jan 02 13 11:14 pm Link The Green Mile Jan 02 13 11:24 pm Link If I've seen LA Confidential in the last six months, I'd go with that. And I probably have. If not, Lincoln, currently in theaters. Jan 03 13 08:19 am Link I love movie threads! Movie I have watched in the last six months: White Christmas - a classic but a goodie Movie I was exposed to in the last 6 months: This Means War - funny, action, and romance all tied into one, a good flick Jan 03 13 08:32 am Link hmm, only just got round to watching it but Hugo in 3D ...Im 3D obsessed so loved it..also Priceless with Audrey Tatou ,very funny Jan 03 13 08:33 am Link Repoman, Law Abiding Citizen and This Means War are all awesome! Jan 03 13 02:42 pm Link The Master was the best one I caught in the theater, closely followed by Djano Unchained. The best I watched at home aside from the usual dozen that I always blab on about were Phantom of the Paradise (1975), House (1977), and The King of Comedy (1982), and Suspiria (1977). House is the most batshit insane movie I've seen in a long time, and I've seen some batshit movies. Jan 03 13 02:47 pm Link |
