I'm new here, and just wondering did the photographers are able to read profile of models. After I get posted in MM I got invited to fiends or shots as nude!!! (tons of invites) As far I have seen only some nude shots are tasteful, but the tons of them are cheap. Its in my profile no nude? Please shear some ideas. Models, how u surviving thru this?

I have had too many model (who clearly state in clear English that they don't shoot nudes) friends who start out who complained of the same thing. It's like a swarm of piranhas chomping at fresh meat.

Even though many models say on their profiles that they will not do nudes, they still do with photographers of their choosing. Simply tell the photographers that you are not interested. It is not a big deal that they ask you.

Becks wrote: Do the models can write? Actually, I believe English is the OP's second language, maybe even her third, fourth or fifth. She was born in Latvia and is probably also fluent in Russian and more than likely quite passable in Finnish and possibly German and Polish. Europeans tend to do things like that. How's your Latvian? Viktorija, this is a problem with no solution. A few years ago we didn't have a Yes/No selection for Shoots Nudes. A number of us agitated for the feature, thinking it would be easier for folks to separate out the folks who are or are not willing to shoot nudes. But unfortunately it didn't help--If anything it made things more difficult for several reasons. Some models answer yes but mean they will only shoot implied or topless. Some answer no in order to keep the porn shooters away (as you've found, it doesn't work). Some are willing to shoot nudes for pay but not for TF and some for some concepts but not for others. The best thing you can do if you are open to shooting with some degree of nudity depending on circumstance is probably to spell out those circumstances in detail within the body of your profile and make it clear that you require full discussion before agreeing to shooting with any degree of nudity. Some models in that situation open a separate portfolio specifically nude work and do not link the two. That seems to make it easier to control. And if you are not willing to do any nude work under any circumstances, say that in your profile and block anyone who ignores it. One good thing, this is a problem that reduces itself after the first month or two as new models come online.

You can choose to simply ignore requests for work that you do not do, or politely reply that you do not shoot nudes. You can also "block" someone if they won't take "no" for an answer. As evidenced by some of the responses to this thread, MM members comprise a wide spectrum of levels of maturity and professionalism.

Viktorija, you have the section checked "no" but you might do a little better to say it in your profile description. It might help a little bit. You will probably get asked anyway. Ignore them if you do.

So I friended you to see if I was correct in that assumption.

Welcome to MM! For some of the reasons listed above photographers ask if you shoot nudes just to be sure that you don't. If they ask and you reply with a "thank you but no" and they continue to contact you about shooting nudes then I would say block them. If they only ask once and you just block them you may be excluding yourself from future clothed work. Not all photographers that shoot nudes shoot only nudes. That choice is your's and your's alone. Good luck to you!

Almost like all of you, he had some nudes. but not only nudes in his PF. If we are speaking about the same, photographer. I loved the way how he captured another ones. And nudes was tasteful. To work with him didn't mean to work nude

Did you read my profile before tagging me? I would be happy to work with you, but as my profile says, I am currently working on a nude project. Of course you have the right to pursue any project you desire. If you are interested in shooting nudes with one photographer but not another that is 100% acceptable You will get tons of offers from every type of photographer. Say no when you want to say no, it's really that simple.

Has anyone here that has been making fun of her ever lived in a country that does not have English as a native language? I have. Germany. And no one EVER made fun of me other than maybe a chuckle from someone I knew well. On the contrary, people were always helpful, correcting me in very gentle ways. But that's this forum: not pictures or it didn't happen, but English or you're stupid. Thanks to those who really helped her. Edit: Oh, and I would ad that specking a language not your native one, even on an okay level, is not the same as writing it. That's much tougher
