The Girlfriend Who Never Was
Okay, this is a pretty strange story. Notre Dame middle linebacker Manti Te'o loses his grandmother and his GF (I've seen her referred to as his fiancee) in the same week. He plays through the anguish and is hailed as a guy of incredible character. And now it's reported that the GF never existed. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr- … ncaaf.html Was Manti part of the hoax or was he a naive victim? If he was the tricked victim, at best he's been monumentally gullible. He never met her face-to-face. He reportedly spoke to her on the phone each night.
