Sometimes it's better to observe before you participate.  You learn more about others.

Long vegetables and condoms but no lube. That's just amateur and would likely get someone hurt.

to be fair, SF2 is (or used to be) more of a spit and tears kinda crowd, so I get it.

i''ve actually gotten better at grocery shopping in the last couple years.
im a really good cook, when i have someone to cook for.
been cooking lately.

this time i bought some actual food not just beer.
although i did end up with some tools and automotive stuff.

its an improvement over going out for groceries and coming home with motor oil and vodka, and ordering a pizza.

I shop for a huge house hold.  If you really want my list I will give it to you. lol

cottage cheese,
bagels,
waffles,
eggs,
milk,
bread,
cheese,
shredded cheese,
ground sirloin,
pork chops (thin sliced)
chicken,
granola bars,
(ketchup, balsalmic vinegar, olive oil)- part of my bbq sauce recipe
cream of chicken soup
rice
noodles
cream of mushroom soup
brownie mix (I have to, it goes with my wine)
wine wink

I try to get enough stuff for 3-4 dinners.  Sometimes its hard because my kids change their minds a million times on what they want.  Or I change my mind on what I want to make.

This thread again, because it''s time to go grocery shopping.

Still haven''t cooked fish. Not sure I will pick any up this trip. Guess I will get the usual other tasty animals and the green stuff they eat.

What else is good?

Also now there''s no more plastic bags at the store and if you want a paper one you have to buy it. Damn hippies. Lol.
I need to buy some reusable ones.

I remember being a teenager in the 90s and being like, "Nah, I only bought a t-shirt. Don''t need a bag. thanks" and everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Now, they ASK you if you want a bag if you just buy one item; makes me feel like a real pioneer.

The only thing about the plastic bag issue that I do dislike is that I always reused the plastic bags I did take. I put them in the little trash can in my bathroom, and use them to bag up dirty cat litter separately from the rest of the household garbage. Also, I line the pulp catcher in my juicer with them, so you can just lift up the pulp and dispose of it easily.

Spit works for a hand job.  Don't know about tears.

Dude. You live in California. Cook some damn fresh fish. Maybe start with shellfish like shrimp. Those take 3-4 minutes tops. Make some rice or pasta then de-glaze the pan with white wine and finish with butter. Bam. Dinner in less than 10 minutes.

I don't know how lazy of a cook you are so it's difficult to suggest ingredients other than the list from before I gave you.

Cook. Fish.

Fillet of cod. Flour. Beer. Make batter. Dip fillet in batter. Throw in deep fryer. BAM. Real English fish & chips (assuming you make the chips part)! tongue

Oh yeah, smother in salt and malt vinegar.
