You definitely need to keep doing more professional shoots, only with photographers that will benefit your portfolio (unless you're being paid). https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32095985 This shot looks really fake. Probably my least favourite of yours. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 5#32095971 You look pretty here, but your pose doesn't look natural. You need to work on looking more natural in your photos (body wise, and face wise unless the concept is more MUA related). Good luck!

I'd suggest you make your display image one of just you, because the one it is now doesn't show people your "look", giving them an impression on you right away. I'd change it to this if I were you: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31854402 You're a pretty handsome guy, and you look good with a bit of a beard, and without one, which is good. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/28976912 This is a good photo because it shows that you can not only work the handsome sweet look, but a tougher one as well. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31854737 I don't like this, simply because of the editing. The blue isn't done that well. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31854556 Your pose in this is pretty bad. You look like you've been shot, and your pose is way too forced. I do think you have potential, and your height is a bit of a setback, but you have a great look.

I just wanted it to get some love for a while cuase it was new haha. And I appreciate your opinion of the last photo, I need to make cuts again soon, I like limiting myself to less than 15 photos on here, it means I keep forcing improvement!

I do this a lot and hopefully you're not offended, I'm just a picky English lover. I'm Monica, an 18 year old newcomer to modeling, something I'm very interested in. I don't have very much experience, other than working with photographer friends, but I work great with direction and am interested in trying out new things!--- I'm currently graduating which takes away a lot of my time to shoot, but after that I'm looking to get back in to it. ___ Now for your photos https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32526269 This is pretty and shows a lot of potential. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 9#32526262 Really amateur, and you should also mention your tattoo in your bio. Honestly you have potential but it's hard to give you a good critique because of your lack of variety in your portfolio. You need to work on much better posing and expression. You can't just stand there and look pretty.

Olivia Ashton wrote: What should I do different? Work with MUCH better photographers. About half of your photos are lacking in quality from the photography side, which ruins the whole image. Also, try and work on your expressions. They all look too happy, which is okay, but if you're interested in other genres you need to get better with more serious and relaxed expressions.

I would love to hear your feedback- especially in what I am missing, since I have just started building my portfolio. Thank you!

You should let your talent agency give you the most direction, but I'd love to give my input. You should have more conceptual and interesting concepts in your portfolio, as well as high fashion. You look slightly stiff and awkward in some of your photos. Try and relax. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 6#32390908 This looks slightly amateur. I'm not loving the cropped photo with that styling. Overall you have so much potential. Keep up the great work.

Alexxis Johnson wrote: I'd love some critiques, thank you for your help Before even clicking on your name I was excited to critique you because your display image drew me in. You have quite a large portfolio so I would suggest deleting a few, and only keeping the best of the best. I would suggest dumping these, because of either awkward posing or expressions, bad lighting, not flattering, etc. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31926547 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31926541 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31926453 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31926444 https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32579830 Mostly just old, amateur work. Your newer images are FANTASTIC. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32579776 The dress should have been ironed and I don't like the boots, but I really do like your pose and the overall photo. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32579809 You look scared, like you're about to fall. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32374917 So beautiful. I love the styling and location. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32374909 Definitely your best photo. I love your expression, pose, styling, location, everything. You're doing great and have so much potential, but you've worked with a few not-so-great photographers. I'd keep those out of your portfolio.

I would definitely like to hear your opinion! I re-activated my account after several months silence, but haven't done a new shoot yet, so all of my photos are from before (though I did delete them all in the deactivation process, which was probably silly). I would love some feedback on what I've done and what I could improve upon. I kind of feel like I'm starting from scratch again, since I hadn't done all that much modelling beforehand...

I know what it's like. I stopped for 9 months and only re-started in January. It's hard to get back in to it at first but you still have your skills! I honestly LOVE your look with short hair. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32529219 I love your connection with the camera. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32529209 Great work by all. You have perfect skin. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32529239 Your eyes look half asleep. I don't like this very much. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/32529228 The pushed out chin doesn't work well for you. I love your look and you have so much potential, I hope you get back in to modeling and don't stop

The first two you mentioned are two of my favourites, and I agree for sure about the second two. Unfortunately none of them are as I currently look - My hair's now light blonde and shoulder length, but I'm uploading my Actor headshot temporarily so I can show what I look like right now. I did like having short hair, but it's much easier having it longer, lol!
