She could have been her crane operator and drawn more attention than Miley. Aside, I wonder if these videos actually drive sales? Most of the music video channels aren't doing that game anymore. Only time I buy music is if I hear it or maybe have seen them perform on some TV show after they got my ear. Don't think I've even bought purely based on a video though (Although Psy was sort of novel, but the beat is what caught my attention first after SNL.). Shock-and-Awe maybe gets them there if the music can't. Maybe the YouTube generation buys them? Girl's may buy based on the singer's look? I like Dar Williams and Brandi Carlile's music, but I wouldn't call them stunners or worth staring at in a video. However, Diane Birch ( http://www.metrolyrics.com/diane-birch-pictures.html ) does look like a fashion model though for a 30 year old singer - even though she is sort'a an old truck now for that.

I think Miley has taken a wrecking ball to herself and her once promising career. Since we are on the topic of youthful role models, artistic passion and raw musical talent, may I share this link as a point of comparison to all the Miley Cyrus hoopla? This is Rion Paige, 13 years old: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11oMu365 … r_embedded

Sir David Attenborough, a very well known naturalist here in the UK has just said that in his opinion the human race has stopped evolving. I'd go one stage further, I'd say that the human race has started to devolve. You only need to witness the state of the entertainment industry, i.e music, TV and Film to see this actually happening in front of your eyes!

Its written by Mike Judge the same guy who did South Park, it exemplifies the de-evolution of humanity by showing that how our culture has fixated on the inane state of media and our focus on celebrity and pop influences. When television entertainment coalesces down to nothing more than some guy getting kicked in the balls while we sit stupefied in our barca-loungers being fed a steady diet of processed fat products. And our president is the latest WMA champion (or some such blood sport) its speak volumes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiocracy

to add to my thoughts on the video........... I do NOT think that she would be getting as bad of a lashing as she IS currently about it, if she hadnt just gone off and played with herself on the MTV video awards. Might be a different scenario of thoughts swimming around peoples heads. I didnt pay attention to what she was doing before this. I think she has our attention now ![smile](//assets.modelmayhem.com/images/smilies/smile.png)

Did he have any serious hits before or after? Did he reach this level of success with Gangnam Style by lucky accident or by calculated effort? Maybe Psy is a one trick pony that got swept up by the "going viral" phenomenon of youtube exposure? Psy's game may be over now, or in it's waning days. I think that may have been La Lana's point.

He had like 5 albums or something before gangnam, and was an established artist in his own country. what's so "one trick" about that?
