Now... this is my first post in the "Look At Me" forum... pretty cool.

However... it sucks that I really can't show any pictures just yet, but here is the backstory:

In 2007, I was commissioned to shoot the greek model Yanna Darilis for an editorial of two greek newspapers (including the US/Greek publication: Omikron) and a magazine never got the tearsheets tho... sad

This is one of the shots that got published back in 2007:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/060716/11/44ba6a0b0f24a_m.jpg (The thumbnail leads to the actual photo)

Yanna was also the host of the opening and closing ceremony of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens...

Anyway... last week... out of the blue and six years later... I am getting a call and it was a blast from the past... Yanna was on the phone... wanting me to shoot "a few photos" for a Greek company..., it's a promo for that special fiber and in this case, a panty-hose using that micro-fiber.

We shot last Saturday and the following is a screen shot of the LCD display on my camera... early in the shoot:

https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/p480x480/67978_10151775340440458_22184475_n.jpg

So... I started to learn more about that whole project, the client is a young, award winning Greek company, that is about to conquer the European market with a new microfiber and performance wear and will expand to the US next year...

Anyway... because of Yanna's recommendation... and the resulting pictures (I am still editing the selected shots), they want me to shoot the entire campaign, including for the US market, for which I am supposed to work with a very prominent NFL player as well...

So, I am pretty fucking excited about that, but apologize that I can't post anything yet, because they are getting in print on Friday and I can't release the shots until they are in the stores over there...

Well... that's my first "look at me" post! big_smile

UPDATE: The first electronic tears are on page 2.

Okay..., I may not keep this photo up for long... but, since this is one of the shots that was selected, and I made it only 640pxls on the long side... and not mentioning the company just yet... I'll post the edited version of the shot from the LCD screen for comparison... (not critique forum... just showing what was done!)

I know you've been chasing the brass ring for quite some time, it's nice to see you get a hold of it. I hope this opens the door to all those Super Mario and Demarchelier shoots you would like to get.

Hahahaa... yeah, Bob!

I hope so too... I also have an "in" with Andrew Marc, who loved my shots for an editorial in NYC, which they want to use in their own online marketing and I hope I'll land a campaign with them sometimes... smile

As you said, You never know.
My daughter might get an interpreter job for a local court because of a friend, who is a court officer. She met him while she was at court today.

Thanks again!

The shoot was for that panty hose she is wearing... and a few shoots were for a performance wear shirt... which is pretty cool.

One or two of the shots will be in pharmacies and drugstores in Greece, advertising for that panty hose (it's for cellulite).

I hope they will take a photo of the ad in a pharmacy and send that to me... that should be really cool...

I had only shots in clothing boutiques for some of the smaller labels... but that pharmacy ad in an Athens pharmacy... that should be fun...  smile
