I can't show the actual tears just yet due to exclusivity protocol but the magazine have put up a video with some of the pages including a few of the shoot.
It's Cotswold Life mag which is a really great mag with serious columnists , features and varied subject matter and wide readership covering the whole of central southern UK. So it's nice to have a six page fashion editorial in it.
Several of the team including photographer Carl Ryan and model Chrys Columbine, lovely MUA Samantha Davis,  designer Neanga leather, and retoucher Cosmin and stylist David (Blackplanet) are here on MM.

It's on sale today £3.80

It was a great shoot to do as we had Keith Scarrott boots that were in Vogue recently and are beautiful; some stunning suits and coats and Hussar style hats, vintage Dior etc dresses,  and Lascivious lingerie. And six pages so they were really pleased with it! Shot on location at a beautiful Elizabethan hotel (where the Queen Mother often stayed) with Morgan cars supplying a vehicle. The idea was daywear evening wear and lingerie romantically inspired for Valentine's day. So we had Crimean hussars, Dr Zhivago and cult tv series the Prisoner on our mood board for daywear; vintage elegance for evening; and black queen v white queen chess theme for the lingerie shoot.

But the shoot day was undoubtedly the worst ever conditions - it was gale force winds rain and almost dark. So I think we did well.

EDIT:
I think it's okay to show now:

Ok here is the image used in the lingerie bit for Lascivious Lingerie:

Thank you Drew. It's my personal style anyway so a real pleasure to do with thousands of pounds worth of clothing from amazing designers.

The weather has been a nightmare lately must be a pain to every UK photographer unless they are shooting crashing waves!

Awwww thank you gentlemen.
My confidence has taken a hammering lately after the last editorial one of the images attracted a pretty vicious unsolicited crit here. Luckily the magazine and press office of the suppliers were over the moon with it. That was the only feedback that matters really so I plucked up courage to do this editorial. There is a very revealing lingerie element which you can catch on the opening of the video on the contents page. But one does worry what people here can say. So it is VERY appreciated to get some nice feedback. Thankyou x

A couple of the Carl Ryan shoot images.
This one is a Pippa Eastman millinery creation, with Gil Clement jewellery, and Lascivious lingerie. There is a lot more revealed in Cotswold Life magazine and being Lascivious, that is revealing rather a lot!
https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/t1/s720x720/1795791_647840438610992_512614969_n.jpg

That was the lingerie part. Then this one is from the daywear with burlesque star Chrys Columbine for Browne and Daughters, hat by Johnny Beardsall, and boots by Keith Scarrott. Car furnished by Morgan cars; shot at the Elizabethan Greenway hotel and sculpture by Guy Unwin.
There were three of us in that part of the shoot. The magazine is available from all good newsagents throughout Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Somerset etc

Hey cool! Do you still have the tear? Love to see it!

Yes one of the fashion editors at the magazine now is really nice and I think favours a little edge while keeping the class character for their readership. She is the elegant lead singer of a famous gothic band so editors don't come edgier! I have been in several lifestyle mags but this is the 'Tatler' of them so I'm pleased about it; more for the rest of the team and the stockists and location and prop furnishers, etc. It was a lovely opportunity and collaboration; everyone was really nice.

I've got a couple of copies of the magazine *somewhere* lol - haven't seen them in a while - my girlfriend at the time was a photographer from France and she shot me quite a few times for her port and for a couple of publications.  Actually I have a new publication coming out on the "wrong" side of the camera again soon - nothing major but not bad at 64 years of age lol.....

Thank you Ida that is very kind.
It was gale force winds and rain for the outdoor part, so not exactly fun; but everyone involved was lovely and professional so that lifts the spirits in such circumstances!

Isn't that interesting how it goes... early on, for a while, you collect multiple issues of a print-tear... and the time goes by... you don't know where it is... and after a while... it is not that important anymore..., you just care that you get your paycheck... smile

(Although, my current publishing spree via Fashion Week is something I am eager to find out... smile )

That's the beautiful and elegant Chrys Columbine who is just about the coolest burlesque star in the world! And she is here on MM. An absolute privilege to work with and a truly lovely person. She has since stayed over with me and we put her burlesque act on which was amazing!

A classically trained pianist she has played keyboards for Night by Night (Ben Christo Sisters of Mercy) and Nosferatu.
http://www.officialnosferatu.co.uk/columbinemascara.htm

So makes me wonder when people say they can't find good models on MM.

https://www.officialnosferatu.co.uk/chrys%20columbine%20of%20nosferatu.jpg

In addition the beautiful tweed tailored suit is by Browne and Daughters and the hat by Jonny Beadsall. He's a lovely bloke; a real character and his hats have been down the runway at Temperleys LFW shows:
https://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/41/a1/45/41a145a68422d83fe6e7307edca39fd3.jpg

Plus Keith Scarrott boots which were in Vogue recently. We came up with an ingenious solution to keep the soles pristine in dreadful conditions on a stoney forecourt. smile

And a car furnished for us by Morgan.

Plus Carl Ryan's lovely pics!

So with all those ingredients was bound to make a lovely image!

Until this forum area started I was reluctant to put any of my tears up in case anyone wrote horrible things. And in all the modelling jobs I have gone for I have never even got the opportunity to take my tears out of my portfolio. I feel pretentious having them on my coffee table so they end up languishing in drawers forgotten. I showed my mum some and she wasn't all that approving. I never set out to do this kind of modepoint anyway truth be told. Just happened. So yes one gets excited about tears only for the memory to quickly fade sadly.

This shoot however was lovely wardrobe and I was really excited to work with Chrys and everyone else was lovely too. So that memory won't fade....smile

Truth -   of course the publication in Cotswolds Life featured me as a model -  I have a half dozen or so tears ad a model and never really cared that much about them as it was incidental to me....      I will pick up print copies of decent publications still but they just go on a shelf and I hardly look at them -  but I do have a folder of (digital) tears available to show potential clients or agencies.....

Yes, I rarely ever put tears and work up on MM... almost never, with a few, very, very rare exceptions.

I don't want to post too much in this forum... but because it's fashion week, my interview and first photo-class I was teaching... I thought I'll start the other thread...

It also allows me to kinda create an overview about the current publishing spree... so that i personally won't lose track, as I so often do... big_smile

Yes I think this new area a great idea.
Hopefully it will all be positive feedback; whereas the critique
forums can be horrible. Last thing one wants when so much
has been invested in one as a model photographer etc.

Look forward to developments Udor!
