As a photographer, how many times have you wished you could take those amazing artistic and creative nude shots you have seen in one's portfolio?

Those kind of artistic photographs are required for some high paying photography jobs, and not having the chance to even apply to those jobs is, lets face it, sucks!

So you decided you should call up some models, look for a private studio and rent/buy the most affordable lighting kit. Sounds great and all, but you then realized it can cost you hundreds of dollars that you may not have.

I have the perfect solution!

Ask me about it I would love to know what you think smile

You invented a photo workshop?

This kind of thing should be posted in the "events" forum, not here.

1. I have not gotten any jobs because of nude images - ever. Even the jobs that required a nude.

2. It has never cost me any money to get a model and shoot images for my own use. Nude or otherwise.

3. I have a very extensive and expensive, as well as inexpensive lighting kits already.

What was your point? Yes, this would be thinly veiled spam.

Well, I don't pay models for portfolio shoots. I have my own studio and lighting equipment. But you have managed to arouse my curiosity. In other words, I'll bite.

Oh wow!!!

Are you one of those highly paid photographers you mentioned above?

I'm really keen to know more, first, where do you store all those amazing, yet frugally shot images you speak of?
And can I be as good as you too someday?

Tell us more! Please!!

It does, but he is a newbie.  Let's show him the ropes and cut him a little slack.

He has been on MM since June 3rd, 2011.  Not really a newbie.

Um, exactly what high-paying photography job is it that requires creative nude photography?

Also, his facebook page says he's a retoucher.  So all the images in his portfolio likely aren't even his.

I'm not looking to shoot nudes, I'm looking to create some great concepts that may or may not involve nudity.

But wait! There's more!

If you have a nice body of work, models might come looking for you. There's no need for a studio or expensive gear to create great artistic shots, and for $9.99 I'll send you a list of amazing models in your area!

Ok kidding obviously but I am curious now about the OP's proposition.

Workshop, group shoot or lots of rope and duct tape?

What? In my portfolio? I did take them! Not much wishing involved.

Are you threatening me? If I want a job I can get one, thanks. Don't tell me I have to do it with my photo's, I'm not into wage-slaving with these.

No, someone gave me an old film camera, I bought some slide film, placed an ad on CL and started by shooting one of the 15 or so people who answered the ad. It's a pretty dumb way to go about things but it works for me.

I have my doubts.

Your first nude shoot was yesterday and you have no nudes in your portfolio.  I'll pass on your wonderful ideas.

And forgive one of the four easy payments of $29.99?
