Truth in Advertising Act of 2014 ) Potential Bill)
https://www.change.org/petitions/join-o … FVhPkUzyjd So this petition for change.org came to my email today I thought this line in the petition was particularly interesting "We need the FTC's help because ads sell more than products; they sell attitudes, values, images, identity, and expectations…all in order to sell products. We need their help because pictures are claims, and worth at least 1000 words." Seems relevant -- any thoughts? Oops probably should have put this in General Industry. Even with that limitation, it was then essentially shelved (sent to committee with what govtrack.us describes as a "1% chance of being enacted"). Basically pretty boring stuff, I'm afraid. Apr 19 14 12:39 pm Link "photoshopped" dreadfull word. The person who worded this is %$^&£! Apr 19 14 12:43 pm Link "These ads are weapons of mass perfection"? OK, seriously? Leave the flowery prose for your personal Tumblr. If you're legitimately serious about an issue that you're putting a petition together against it, stop with the cutesy turn of phrase. ![]() Apr 19 14 12:43 pm Link kickfight wrote: lol Apr 19 14 12:45 pm Link |
