I cut the model from a shot done on a white backdrop, added the background after first I removed Summer Island from the stock background image. Then divided it into quarters adding different degrees of lens and/or Gaussian blur to each portion of the background layer. Then tweaked the models legs to add to the illusion of underwater with liquify. Finally kicked the curves on all layers to complete mood. All work completed in APS CS6 without 3rd party filters. May 24 15 11:26 am Link  I used the bears as a background, they were in a clear part of Alaska. I had to create all of the mist. I also made the bears squint, as fighting the blizzard. The Model was shot in a studio. She was in a corner, with brick and pipes behind here. I had to remove all of that behind her. When I did the composite, I made her hands blend into the fur.
