I know the car you're talking about and yep, modern electronics in the old cars are a pain, the one you're talking about, honestly, they did it the hard way. We featured one a couple of years ago that was also showcased at the SEMA show that did it the easier way - they took a 2014 (as I recall) Charger R/T that had been wrecked, removed the entire body, and mated a '70 Charger body to the all-new chassis - even used the new Charger R/T interior. Other than moving the wheel openings around a bit, there really wasn't a whole lot of major work involved and I'm surprised more shops haven't done it. As for this truck driving in San Fran period, that would be a nightmare! I've been to your fair city many times and am amazed that everything is uphill in all directions and nothing's straight anywhere. Got a pretty wild ride in this one before we took photos, and the cabin is very cramped because he had to widen the tranny tunnel to fit the six-speed. Sits a bit low for Frisco, and given how poor rearward visibility is, backing up anywhere, let alone on the rather twisty little venue you mentioned, isn't this truck's forte!
