Please note: This is a family portrait contest so please only enter images of a family you have worked with or a child photo etc.

what is and what is not acceptable

1. If there is no children or family pets in the photo there must be a minimum of 2 adults.

2. If there are family pets then it has to be in a portrait type format i.e no snapshots or photos of walking an animal. Animals must include 1 human no matter what.

3. Children images can be with or without an adult.

1. 18+ Images are NOT allowed in this contest.  Please consider 18+ of the Day.

2. You may only enter an image that you were directly involved in creating. If the copyright owner requests that an entry be withdrawn from competition, the image and any votes it received will be disqualified.

3. Do not re-enter any image that has appeared in Family Portrait of the day in the previous day or the image will be disqualified.

4. An image that has previously won Family Portrait of the day cannot be entered or re-entered in this competition.

5. A given individual may enter only one image per day and may vote only once per day.

6. When voting please use the word VOTE. If you wish, in addition to your vote, you can add a Positive comment about the image you are voting for.

7. DO NOT VOTE FOR YOUR OWN IMAGE. Individuals that participated in the creation of an entry may not vote for that image. These individuals include photographers, models, makeup artists, stylists, and Photoshop wizards. Such votes will be disqualified. If you enter, you are expected to vote. If your image wins and you didn't vote, your entry will be DQ. Early/Late votes will not be counted and will be removed.

8. NO VOTE STACKING!! In all fairness to contestants and others, please don't ask others to vote for your entry. If you have been caught vote stacking, host will verify the abuse then you entry will be removed.

9. IMAGE SUBMISSION BEGINS FOLLOWING THE PREVIOUS CONTEST'S CLOSURE

10. Ties between two images will result in two winners. In an event of a three-way or greater tie, the winner will be decided by a random/volunteer host.

11. Contest Hosts have the right to enter their own images and vote in the contest.

12. Disqualified Participants will be notified with suspected violation within that days contest. A DQ is for that contest only and does not constitute permanent banishment.

13. The current Family Portrait of the day rules are posted here. By entering an image in the competition you agree to participate by the rules as posted.  Rules may be modified, added, or dropped without notice.
