I put up a casting call for last weekend. Booked two models. One asked to reschedule with plenty of time ahead. No problem, thats why I booked twice as many as needed. Second model exchanged emails with me right up to the day before. including answering questions about wardrobe and such. "We still on for tomorrow?" i asked. "totally!" her one word reply. ya right. i didnt feel good about it. i've been around the block. before that i had given her my number, she never gave me hers. i already knew how it was going down. fuck it. i made other plans for the day she loosely confirmed on. i got better things to do. sent her a reply email anyways asking about picking her up as she requested. didnt hear back. no surprise. shoot never happened. today i relisted the casting call for next weekend. a few hours later the same "model", sent me the same copy and paste message she sent me before for the same casting when i had it listed last week. pathetic. yeah right as if i would give her a second chance to take the opportunity away from someone else who is interested and waste my time again. obviously shes the not reading the details type. i rarely have this happen to me. welcome to my block list beotch. i wont make the mistake of trying to work with you again or letting you contact me with your copy paste message.

Will you guys just hire professionals? I mean seriously.

They were licensed, bonded and insured and well reviewed in Yelp. They called me, told me it was done and asked for their check. I told them I would go inspect the work and then get their check for them. They had only done about half the job and in some places, poorly. I took photos and emailed them the photos and a copy of the contract which clearly laid out the work to be done. They asked me if I could front them some of the money so they could buy materials to finish the job. I said no, not in the contract, not happening. It took them 2 more weeks to finish. On the other hand, I hired professionals to change my tires. They were done in 40 minutes. The tires were good, the wheels were balanced and everything was great. I paid them and left with a smile. I've eaten good meals and not so good meals, both cooked by professionals. Not casting any aspersions on anybody, especially not wonderful models who have a great track record and references. Just saying the word "professional" seems to have many meanings.

I've never had problems. Probably she received a better offer.

It's rude, inconsiderate and shows a total lack of regard for someone else's time. It happens in all lines of work -- a lot of people today just do not have the same work ethic or principles beck when your word was your bond. Unfortunately flakiness has become the status quo.

There's a reason I'm retiring this year.

I'm just sayin.... when I get to work tomorrow and see the new schedule and if I am off next weekend I am applying for the casting, EVEN if I do not fit it. Totally! I mean, for real totally. Flakes...argh. Jen edit to add: do you think it was a manager or someone on her so called team, who is really not helping her by pulling stunts like this?

That makes me think she brushed the (pardon) 'amateur' off since she has status. Didn't think you're worth it. Small time mayhem people. Sorry. Very rude of her.
