Not thrilled with the lighting in either photo.

The first photo needs a fill flash, the model is too dark in the photo.  Also, your water line is cropped crooked, makes the photo ever more awkward.

It looks like you're trying to put a little Rembrandt lighting effect on the model in the second photo, but her face is turned a little too much towards the sun for the effect.  Perhaps turn her slightly away from the light, making a better line down the face, and a better triangle effect off her nose.
