This has never happened to me before and I haven't changed any settings to speak of recently. I am now encountering a problem where if I open a file in photoshop, it drastically looses quality and the brightness washes up everything. What is happening?
The file on the right is photoshop, the one on the left is QuickTime(default)

QuickTime is not color managed, at least not in Windows, so we can not count on that.
Photoshop is perfectly color managed, but you need to have the right settings so
check Photoshop Color Settings with SHIFT+CTRL+K.

BTW, the image must have the proper color space and the monitor must be proper calibrated.
