There are some things that you should know about to help you get noticed.  Check out the casting calls, for one.  Also, there is a bulletin feature where everyone on your friends list gets your bulletins.  So make friends!  Third, enter the pic of the day (POTD) contests.  A good image there can generate a few looks at your page.

Then, when do people do contact you, respond and respond promptly.

If you start reading and participating in the forums you will see what people complain about and avoid some of the issues.
