It's sad news. I always did like his music. I only recently have listened to the Traveling Wilburys but they were a pretty good group, to say the least. Oct 02 17 02:32 pm Link Update (5:30 p.m.): The Los Angeles Police Department says it inadvertently confirmed news of Petty’s death to CBS. “The LAPD has no information about the passing of singer Tom Petty,” it said. The LAPD’s confirmation to CBS was the most widely-shared report of Petty’s death. In other words his death is not confirmed but it sounds like it's just a matter of time. Oct 02 17 03:09 pm Link oh wow! I am in shock, he was just in Sacramento a few weeks ago. he canceled the show, and then made it up about a week later. I heard Roy was a pretty decent fellow in real life, too. For that matter, I figure Tom Petty was probably the same way. Oct 02 17 03:18 pm Link WOW... MSN just 'changed their story'. From their website at 11:30am today, they reported from TMZ that he was deceased. NOW... their updated story says he is on life support. If he's in a life-suspending coma... maybe they can bring him back... Oct 02 17 03:21 pm Link Select Models wrote: Let's hope he 'won't back down' from death and will overcome this.
